Rochelle Martineau

Rochelle Martineau “Ombanakwadokwe”, 67, of Sawyer, MN, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth.

Rochelle Elaine Martineau was born February 7, 1952 to Michael Petite, Sr. and Gladys Roy Northrup Petite in Duluth, MN. 

She is survived by her children, Tammy Martineau, Shawn Moose, Mike Kitner, Steve Petite, and Dana Moose; grandchildren, Christina, Dawna Rae, Lee, Leah, Janessa, Mia, Madison, Belinda, Micheal, Chantel, Anthony, Brandon, Alexis, Daniel, Brandon, Breanna, Christopher, Isaiah, Cierra, Isabelle; as well as Geneva McMillen, Diana Reynolds, Candy Fineday, Sueann Petite, Suezette Petite, Antoinette and Russ Rule, Leonard Petite, David and Toni Petite, and Phillip Petite; and many great-grandchildren.

Rochelle was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Michael Petite, Jr. and Dana Roy Petite; sisters, Linda Martin, Leatrice Lind, Karen DuFault, and Alice Northrup; and nephew, Jaris Paro.

A wake will begin Friday, July 12, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at the Sawyer Community Center and continue until the time of service.  A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 13, 2019 at the Sawyer Center.  Charlie Smith will officiate.  Burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery, Cloquet, Minnesota.
