Alan James Lussier Jr

Alan James Lussier Jr, AKA “Dawg”, age 37, of St Paul, MN, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 in Red Lake, Minnesota.

Alan was born on June 12, 1987 in Bemidji, MN, to Jacqueline Nyman and Alan Lussier, Sr, but was raised since birth by his paternal grandparents, Eldora & Arlen “Skidge” Lussier, Sr, who raised him as their own. He attended school in Red Lake and Bemidji School and later obtained his GED. He was also recently attending college classes at RLNC. Alan was currently living in St Paul and working at Pearson Candy Factory.

Alan was a very humorous guy and was the protector of the family. He made sure to never miss a call with his mother, Eldora. He would call everyday to check on her and he never missed the opportunity to tell her how much he loves her. Alan loved to work and on his days off, he would make his way back home to visit his sons, nieces and nephews. Alan would brighten people’s day in their darkest moment, whether by talking with them or cracking a joke at them. He left an impact on everyone he met and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Alan will be lovingly remembered by his parents Eldora and Skidge Lussier; children Jayden, Alan III, Latrelle, Ethan, Marcell and Bryson; siblings Ashley (Darren) Lussier-King, KiiyAlan Lussier, Jan Lussier, Tawn (Roy) White, Leighshell (David) Layton, Robin (Rawb) Lussier, Robin (Diane) Lussier, Arlen Lussier Jr, Lawrence (Melvina) Lussier, Cody Lussier, Dana and Nolan Nyman, Victor Pliego; special brother Marv (Marla) Schoenborn; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  

He was preceded in death by his father Alan Lussier Sr; his favorite aunts Mona Sigana, Wanda Pierre, Carol Sigana, Bobbi Ann Lussier and Leslie Stone-Lussier; cousin Tanaya Mae Lussier; nephew Robin Lee Lussier Jr.

A wake for Alan will begin at 12:30 PM on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at the New Red Lake Center and will continue until the service at 1 PM on Friday, December 6, 2024 with Father John Christianson.  Active Pallbearers will be Lawrence Lussier, Cody Lussier, Ivan Lussier, Marv Schoenborn Sr, Darren King Sr, David Layton, Roy White Sr and Nolan Nyman. Alternates will be Devon Lussier, Dana Nyman, Victor Pliego, Robin Lussier, Arlen Lussier Jr, Dominick Lussier, Mark Sigana and Shane Sigana, Kevin Schoenborn and Avery Schoenborn. Honorary Pallbearers will be his children, Tawn White, Ashley Lussier-King, Jan Lussier, Leighshell Layton, April Graves, Marybeth Bellanger, Marla Donnell and Val Clark. Burial will be at St Mary’s Cemetery in Red Lake, Minnesota. Arrangements provided by Whispering Pines Funeral & Cremation Service of Walker & Hackensack, Minnesota.
