Alan Lussier, Sr.

Alan James Lussier, Sr., age 53, of Red Lake, MN, passed away on Friday, September 1, 2023, in Fargo, ND

Alan was born on September 29, 1969, in Red Lake, MN, to Eldora (Sigana) and Arlen Lussier, Sr. He attended school in Red Lake and later obtained his GED. He was known for his cooking skills and could make something out of nothing. Alan worked for the Seven Clans Casino in Thief River Falls as a cook and also worked various construction jobs in Fargo, ND. He was always a hard worker. Alan loved to be outdoors, was a very crafty outdoorsman, and was never in one spot for too long. When he made his way home, he loved to help his parents and maintained the trees in their yard. He was an excellent tree trimmer.

He will be lovingly remembered by: his parents: Eldora and Arlen Lussier, Sr.; special friend, Marlene Lussier; children: Alan Jr. and Ashley (Darren), Robin (Rawb) and KiiyAlan; grandchildren: Jayden, Alan III, Latrelle, Ethan, Marcell, Bryson, Peyton, Kyreigh, Giselle and Sapphira; siblings: Robin (Diane), Arlen Jr. and Jan Lussier, Tawn (Roy) White, Lawrence (Melvina) Lussier, Leighshell (David) Layton, all of Red Lake; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Alan was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Mary Jane and Roman Sigana, Sr.; paternal grandparents: Margaret and Elmer Lussier, Sr.; grandson, Robin Lee Lussier, Jr., uncles: Elmer Lussier, Jr., Wayne Lussier, Sr., Gilbert Lussier, Sr., Darrell Sigana; aunts: Luann Sigana, Carol Sigana, Mona Sigana, Wanda Pierre, Darlene Needham, and Bobbi Ann Lussier.

The wake will begin at 1PM on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at the New Red Lake Community Center in Red Lake and continue until the service at 1PM on Monday, September 11, 2023, with Father John Christianson officiating. Active pallbearers will be: Robin Lussier, Arlen Lussier, Jr., Lawrence Lussier, Alan Lussier, Jr., Dominick Lussier, Kevin Sigana, Mark Sigana, Cody Lussier and alternates: Darren King, David Layton, Roy White, Sr. and Shane Sigana. Honorary pallbearers will be: Jan Lussier, Tawn White, Ashley Lussier-King, Daryl “Doovie” Spears, Dale Johns, Ryan Tucker, Leslie Lussier-Stone, Tiffani Lussier, and his Grandkids.
