Alex George Whitefeather Sr, Ajidamoo (Squirrel) of the Bear Clan, age 43, began his journey to the spirit world on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 in Fargo, ND

Alex was born on February 23, 1981 to Bonita Whitefeather of Remer, MN, and Adrian Spears of Red Lake, MN. Alex attended schools in the Red Lake District, Wahpeton Indian School, Wahpeton, North Dakota and Riverside Indian School, Anadarko, Oklahoma. He held various jobs with Leech Lake Gaming and Red Lake Gaming. Alex loved music, drawing, graffiti art, fresh kicks, taking things apart and putting them back together or rebuilding new things. He was mechanically inclined and loved the Minnesota Vikings. Alex loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, family and friends.

Alex is survived by his parents: Bonita Whitefeather and Adrian Spears; children: Taydria and Keisha Hurd, Tatiana, Kierstynn, Malique, Alex Jr, Marques and Anayka Whitefeather; special Son: Devin Sayers; grandchildren: Keziah & Daxton French, Kamilah May, William Bedeau III, Baby Girl Whitefeather and Baby 2025; brothers: Randall Whitefeather of Indiana, Delwyn Whitefeather of Kentucky and Edward Whitefeather of Fargo, North Dakota; sisters: Denise Whitefeather of Kelliher, MN and Anita Whitefeather of Bemidji, MN; and Special Friend: Derrissa Kingbird of Redby.

Those greeting Alex to the spirit world are his grandparents Isaac & Josephine Whitefeather and Rosella Spears; uncles: Randall Whitefeather, Ronald Whitefeather, Jerome Spears, Lloyd Spears, Earl Spears and Lawrence Spears; aunt: Roseanna Whitefeather; nephew James Whitefeather; and numerous family members.

Traditional Services will begin at 1 PM on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at the Old Red Lake Center and continue until the service at 10 AM on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 with Spiritual Leader Mike Needham. Active Pallbearers will be Roland Lussier Jr, Larry Spears, Tyrone Thunder, Ricky Jackson, Trent Whitefeather, Dayton French, Tyrone Spears and Brandin Fineday. Alternates: Devin Roy and James Parkhurst. Honorable Pallbearers will be Tonya Lussier, Roseann Spears, Sherilyn Spears, Marlene Spears, Teara Whitefeather, Breanna Omen, Angel Stillday, Celaina Whitefeather, Denise Whitefeather, Anita Whitefeather and Annette Brown. Burial will be at the Whitefeather Burial Grounds in Ponemah, MN. Arrangements provided by Whispering Pines Funeral & Cremation Service of Walker & Hackensack, MN.
