Alfred Dean Kingbird Jr, Obaagiiniwanzh "Beaver That Dives" of the Eagle Clan, age 41, from Moorhead, MN, began his journey to the spirit world on Thursday, August 21, 2025 in Moorhead, MN.

Alfred was born in Bemidji, MN, on November 27, 1983. He is the son of Bernice and Alfred Kingbird, Sr. Alfred grew up in Ponemah, MN. He attended Ponemah Elementary School and Red Lake Middle School. He was an outgoing person that liked to joke around. He will be missed by all who knew him, especially by his family.

Family that Alfred joins again are his mother: Bernice; grandparents: John and Julia and Sarah and Fred Kingbird Sr; sister: Gennie Kingbird; aunties: Brenda, Roberta, Carol and Verna Kingbird, Regina, Judy French, Elsie Burr, Lillian Jones and Grace Perkins; uncles: Harlan Kingbird Sr, John Kingbird Jr, Fred Kingbird Jr, Frances Stillday, Gerry Kingbird and Beverly Cloud; and nephew: Jeremiah Kingbird Jr.

Those he leaves behind to cherish his memories are his sons: Patrick Kingbird, Anthony Laduke, Kyler Kingbird, Alfred Kingbird III, Kobee Cobenais and Damal Favardo; and his daughters: Alisha Kingbird, Khloee, Kazmyh and Kallilliah Cobenais; his father: Alfred Kingbird Sr; his brothers: Lonny (BobbiJo) Kingbird of Redby, Tobie (Collette) Kingbird, Tjay (Mel) Kingbird; sisters: Shanna (Alvin Johnson Jr) Kingbird of Warroad; Leah Kingbird of Grafton ND; uncles: Rudy Kingbird of Ponemah; aunties: Andrea (David) Rosebear and Mona Nelson, both of Ponemah; Roberta (Sami) Syed of Blacklick, Ohio; Mardel Iceman, Elsie (Robert) Rushman, all of Ponemah; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A wake will begin at 3 PM on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at the Ponemah Boys & Girls Club in Ponemah, MN, and will continue until the funeral service at 10 AM on Thursday, August 28, 2025 with Spiritual Leader Mike Needham. Active Pallbearers will be Arlan Cloud, Ron Cloud III, Jordan Cloud, Clarence Patterson, Wayne Stillday, Cheyenne Kingbird. Honorary Pallbearers will be all of Alfred’s family.  Burial will be at the Kingbird Family Burial Grounds in Ponemah, MN.
