Alvie Stillday Sr

Alvie Stillday, of the Eagle Clan, age 49, began his journey to the spirit world on December 11, 2025 in Red Lake, MN. 

Alvie was born on December 26, 1975 to Ernest and Althea Johnson Sr in Red Lake, MN. Alvie worked construction, was a Youth Advocate, worked night security at the Fire Station and as a Jailer for Red Lake. He liked hunting and fishing and working on cars.  He liked to tease and joke around with family and friends. He was a good fry bread maker!

Alvie is survived by his mother: Althea Johnson; special friend: Shena Martin; children: Avery (SueAnn), Morgan (Scott), Shyla, Alvie Jr (Breanna), Andrew (Savannah), Ashon, Simone, Celeste (John), Anthony Sr, Colette and Branigan Patterson; grandchildren: Kiara & Ezra Stillday, Deionte, DeVaughn (Juliet), DeAngela (Dakota), Dezmond, Gary Jr, Dezirae, Jaices, Anthony Jr, Lala & Markell Patterson; great-grandchildren: Dakota, Dacian and Everest; nephews: Vaughn, Brody, Timothy, Keegan, Damian, Marcus and Jamison Morsett; nieces: Desiree, Kaydence and Naleigha; brothers: Ernest Jr, Edwin, Preston, Robert, Ramsey (Andrea), Gary (Courtney) and Neal; and sisters: Carol Adnan and Eileen.

He is preceded in death by grandparents: Warren and Rose Stillday; father: Ernest Johnson Sr; wife: Marilyn Stillday; mother-in-law: Violet Patterson; aunties: Patsy, Margaret and Betty; sister: Jackie Johnson; sister-in-law: Carol Patterson; uncles: Alvin, Larry and Warren; cousins: Lachele Whitefeather, Corey Whitefeather Jr and Patrick Stillday Sr.

A wake will begin at 2 PM on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at the Ponemah Boys & Girls Club and will continue until the service at 10 AM on Friday, December 19, 2025 with Spiritual Leaders Zac Earley and Ty Stately. Active Pallbearers will be Avery, Andrew, Alvie Jr, Deionte, DeVaughn, Kevin, Anthony Sr, Scott, Brian Seki, James Cloud Jr, Ramsey, Gary, Neal, Edwin, Corey Whitefeather Sr, Delvin, Brian Stillday Sr. Brian Stillday Jr, Leon "Toby" Donnell. Honorary Pallbearers will be Megan Stillday, Farrah Nelson, Jan Sumner, Sandy Brown, Tammy French, Jerry Stillday, Dallas Stillday, Delvin Cloud, Brian Stillday Sr, Ernest Johnson, Chris “Beast” Cloud, Jordan Cloud, Elliot Cloud, Wesley Cloud Sr, Julia Iceman, Lisa Whitefeather, Ron Patterson, Charles Smith, Viacy Fineday.  Burial will be at the Stillday Family Burial Grounds in Ponemah.
