Amber May Sayers

Amber M. Sayers journeyed to the spirit world on July 21, 2025.

Amber was born to Lisa M. Sayers on May 2, 1984 in Red Lake, MN. She was raised by her grandparents, Jim and Adelma Oakgrove, and also raised by her maternal great-grandparents, Edward and Anna Lussier. She received her GED in November 2014 and worked in various places in Red Lake. Growing up, her grandparents and great-grandparents spoiled her rotten; she got everything she wanted. Her kids were her world; she would do anything for them. She was a very friendly and happy person. Amber had a big heart, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She had a sense of humor that made everyone laugh. Amber loved shopping online for make-up, as well as other goodies. She had a beautiful, one-of-a-kind soul, along with many friends and loved ones, whom she cherished. Please love and hug your loved ones at all times as tomorrow is not promised!!

Amber is survived by her mother: Lisa M. Sayers; her children: Kyleisha and Kyle Garrigan Jr, Avery Merrill, Waylen, Wayne and Wayde Sayers; brothers: Greg and Daniel; sisters: Mariah, Kara, Sydney and Carina; grandparents: Jim and Adelma Oakgrove; aunts: Cheryl Oakgrove and Nicole (Donald) Brun; uncle Barry Oakgrove Sr.

She is preceded in death by her grandfather: Bruce Sayers; aunt: Darma Little; cousins: Matt and Calvin Little, Harley Sayers and baby Marty Clark; her friend Sheena Roberts, her children’s father: Kyle Garrigan Sr and several other loved ones.

A wake will begin at 1 PM on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at the Redby Community Center and will continue until the service at 1 PM on Monday, July 28, 2025 with Spiritual Leader Tom Pollock.  Active Pallbearers will be Kevin John Needham, Isiah Oakgrove, Barry Oakgrove Sr, Frank Brun, Marcel Garcia, Bruce Sayers Jr, Johnathon Carlson Sr, Sonnie Stately, Austin Head and Shawn Oakgrove. Honorary Pallbearers will be Randy Thunder, Liza Spears, Ashlyn Charnoski, Maelynn (Squay) Strong, Robyn Pemberton, Marla Donnell, Kim Cook, Sheila Cook, Tiffany Lussier, Chelsey May, Bretannah Morgan, Anna Oakgrove, Leichelle Oakgrove, Holly Oakgrove, Janette Needham, Misty Oakgrove, Melissa Brun, Gina Carlson, Shayna Roberts, Raynelle Roberts, Ravonna Roberts and Kerry Sayers.
