Ann L. Willeck, 96 of Cloquet, formerly of Saginaw, died on Dec. 20, 2020, in Sunnyside Nursing Home, Cloquet. She was born on April 5, 1924 in Cloquet to Mary and Peter Unulock. Ann and her husband Dave (of 60 years) owned and operated a mink ranch from the 1940's until 1962. She then went to work outside the home while raising 4 children until her retirement. She was retired for 34 years. Ann’s passion was sewing, and especially spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed making doll clothes for her many friends and family. Ann was a person with a big heart. Her faith was a big part of her life. She often gave many sets of doll clothes for her church’s fall bazaars.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dave; son Richard and grandson Nathaniel; her parents; brothers Al, George, and Stanley; and sisters Frances and Rose. Ann is survived by her children: Dennis (Linda) of Canal Winchester OH, Bruce (Kathy) of Cloquet, and Drinda (David) of Saginaw; ten grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law Le lla Willeck; and her special niece, Juanita Unulock. Ann Willeck should be remembered for a life well-lived. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her honor to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Cloquet, MN, on Tuesday, December 29, 2020, beginning at 11:00am, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Entombment will follow at Sunrise Cemetery in Hermantown MN. Covid 19 safety measures will be in place. Arrangements are provided by Whispering Pines Funeral & Cremation Service, Walker, MN.
