Ardith Fischer

Ardith “Ardie” Fischer 103, of Walker, Minnesota, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Edgewood May Creek in Walker, Minnesota.

Ardith was born on May 31, 1915, in Price County, Wisconsin, where she grew up and attended school.  She married Eric Torgrimson in November 1961 until his death in January 1983.  In May 1983 she married Grayson Fischer.  Grayson passed away in February 1992.  Places she lived included Ashland, Wisconsin; Minneapolis, Minnesota; Deering, North Dakota; and Walker, Minnesota. She also enjoyed spending her winters in Seabring, Florida.

Ardith’s special interests included travel and gardening.  She loved visiting Madeline Island, Wisconsin with her friend Becky.  Ardith had a great sense of humor and loved to visit with friends and playing games, especially Skipo.

Ardith was preceded in death by her husbands and one brother.

A memorial service for Ardith will be held at May Creek Senior Living, Walker on Monday, January 7, at 9:00 AM with Pastor Jane Ekholm officiating.  Her burial is scheduled for Friday, January 11, 2019 at 11:00 AM  in Minot, North Dakota.  Arrangements are being handled by Dennis Funeral Home of Walker, Minnesota and Thompson Larson Funeral Home, Minot, North Dakota.
