Arthur Joseph Perry

Arthur Joseph Perry, age 76, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2020, at his home in Nevis, MN.

Art was born on March 11, 1944, in Minneapolis MN to Artimus and Ellen (Phyllis)(Hogan) Perry.  He grew up in north Minneapolis and attended St. Bridgette’s Catholic School.  After high school, he joined the US Marine Corps and served two tours in Vietnam. On his return, Art attended North Hennepin Community College and earned a two-year degree in Business Management.  He married Carole, the love of his life and wife of 51 years, and together they had five children: Larry, Brent, John, Jana and Timothy.           

Art loved fishing and hunting and succeeded in his profession as an Outdoor Writer. In addition to loving the outdoors, he especially loved his family, always desiring the presence of his children and grandchildren. They especially remember times with him playing cribbage and hearing him say “bring your quarters.”

Art leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Carole; children Larry Juliot, Brent (Christine) Juliot, John Perry, Jana (John) Schnellman, and Timothy (Danielle) Perry; grandchildren Nicholas, Ryan, Jeremy, Dominic, Benjamin, Brandon, Johnny, Samantha, and Aidan; four great-grandchildren; brother Kevin; and sisters Shawn and Maryann.  He was predeceased by his parents, brother Donald, and granddaughter Jacquelina.
