Brian "Bert" Keith Johnson

Brian “Bert” Keith Johnson, age 54 of Redby MN, peacefully passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026.

Brian was born to Marilyn Jones and Grover Johnson on August 23, 1971 in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Brian grew up in Minneapolis before moving home to A.C.T.R.  He attended Red Lake High School. After school, Brian enjoyed working numerous jobs with family, Red Lake Gaming and Redby One Stop. Brian loved being a grandpa to Braylon and Joaquin and spending time with family. He never hesitated to help and was a great friend who will be missed by many.

Brian is survived by his children Amanda (Chris Kingbird) and Francis Neadeau; step-daughters Breanna and Brooke Neadeau; grandsons Braylon and Joaquin Cook – all of Red Lake; sister Shannon Jones from ACTR; brother Garrett Jones from IL; aunts Vicki Juarez and Maudie Jones; and uncle Dickie Jones.

Those who welcome him home are his mother Marilyn; grandparents Theodore and Pauline (Jourdain) Jones; brothers Derrick and Jason; sister Lauri Jones; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and family.

A wake will begin at 1 PM on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at the Redby Center and will continue until the service at 1 PM on Friday, May 15, 2026 with Pastor Josephine Smith. Active Pallbearers will be Daniel Neadeau Sr, Mick May Sr, Rick Jones, Austin Jones, Gordon Fairbanks, Ryan Jones, Rodney Stillday Jr, Gerald Cook, Gilbert Juarez, Deondre’ Jones, Davion Cloud, Cody Jones, Tren Jones, Mike Johnson, Verlin "Itto" Kingbird. Honorary Pallbearers will be Amanda Neadeau, Desirie Downwind, Vickie Juarez, Maudie Jones, Deidra Cloud, Deanna Cloud, Delilah Cloud, Heather Stillday, Karyn Jourdain, Melissa Fairbanks, Janet Jones, Salina Jones, Lolli Jones, Shannon Jones.
