Bryson May Obituary

Bryson Andrew May, age 19, of Bear Clan, began his journey to the spirit world on December 20, 2025.

Bryson was born on September 4, 2006 to EmmyLou Johnson and Tony May Jr. He had seven siblings – Daniel White, Summer White, Kaycee May, Delilah May, Mason May and Jordyn Belland - and two special siblings – Special Sister Alexis Belland and Special Brother – Porfirio Payan.  Bryson loved basketball, fishing, hunting, listening to music, hanging out with all his “bros,” and playing video games with his cousins. He loved fixing things with his dad and helping out when he could. He loved to learn new things that were challenging to him. He loved being with his family and always made sure to say “I love you.” He loved new adventures, along with biking and nature walks.

He left behind his mother, siblings, numerous aunts and uncles, grandparents: Aldene Morrison, Tony May Sr and Cassandra Johnson; and special grandparents: Donald “Mick” Finn and Harlene “Rae” Spears.

Those who passed on before him were his father: Tony May Jr; great-grandmothers: Edna Johnson and Rosella Hart; great-grandfather: Donald “Gootchie” May Sr; and uncles: William Morrison, Donald “Dudie” May Jr and Dean May.

A wake will begin at 2 PM on Friday, December 26, 2025 at the Old Red Lake Center and will continue until the service at 10 AM on Saturday, December 27, 2025 with Spiritual Leader Zac Earley. Active Pallbearers will be Porfirio Payan, Daniel White, Mason May, Richard Diver Jr, Sidrion May, Dillion Taylor, Robin L May, Rowdy May. Alternate Pallbearers: Bear Kingbird and Michael Strong. Honorary Pallbearers will be Delilah May, Kaycee May, Summer White, Gemini May-Lussier, Asa Thomas, Tyler Johnson, Chad Morrison, Russell Morrison, Lee Morrison, Dakota Morrison. He will be laid to rest next to his father, Tony Jr, in St Mary's Cemetery. Arrangements provided by Whispering Pines Funeral & Cremation Service, serving Northern Minnesota.
