Carson Lee Mountain

Carson Lee Mountain Sr, age 63, began his journey on October 26, 2025 in Wrenshall, MN, surrounded by his family.

Carson was born on November 15, 1962 in Red Lake, MN, to Ruth and Herbert Mountain Sr. Carson worked for the DNR/Forestry in Red Lake for 15 years until his health declined. He then moved to Duluth and lived there for many years. In 2022, Carson moved into an Assisted Living Facility called Garden Terrace in Wrenshall, MN.

Carson is survived by his brother: Herbert (Carol) Mountain Jr; sisters: Marilyn (Nathan) Mountain of Red Lake and Shirley Mountain of Onigum; granddaughter: Carsyn Blackwolf of Redwood Falls, MN; nieces: Stacey Downwind and Shari Smith; nephews: Jonathan Mountain, Brandon Mountain and Francis David Downwind; uncles: Orville Johnson and Ron Johnson of Bemidji; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Marlene (Debbie) Mountain; daughter: Latisha Mountain; and son: Carson Lee Mountain Jr.

A wake for Carson will begin at 1 PM on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at the Old Red Lake Center and will continue until the funeral services at 11 AM on Friday, October 31, 2025 with Willy Strong officiating. Active Pallbearers will be Wally Holstein, Brandon Mountain Sr, Brandon Mountain Jr, Jonathan Mountain, Gary Auginash, Gilbert Juarez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Pat Brown, Al Pemberton, P.J. McGraw and all of his friends. Arrangements provided by Whispering Pines Funeral & Cremation Service, serving Northern Minnesota.
