Charlotte Elizabeth White

Charlotte Elizabeth White (Little White Feather), age 9, of the Bear Clan, began her journey to the spirit world on Wednesday, August 14, 2024.

Charlotte was born on May 4, 2015, in Fargo, ND to Jennifer White and was raised by her grandparents, Vincent and Bonnie Dow, along with her cousin, Hope Oakgrove in Ponemah. She loved girly, frilly clothes and ribbons. Charlotte loved animals and enjoyed playing with her cat, dogs and catching snakes to scare her grandma Bonnie with. She looked forward to four wheeler rides with her grandpa, Vincent, and was old enough to start learning how to drive it herself. She will be lovingly remembered as a fun loving, sweet, silly, little girl who always had a new joke to tell.

She will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Jennifer White; siblings: Jackson, Anthony, Odena, Lucinda and Ava; grandmother, Agnes White; uncles: Maurice Dow, Vincent Dow; great-aunts and uncles: Vivian (Blaine) Freeman, Debra (Steven) Stout, James Dow, Elaine Dow; great-great aunts and uncles: Olive Dow, Joyce Dow, Bruce Dow, Edward Dow; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Travelling with her to the spirit world are her grandparents: Vincent and Bonnie Dow, and her cousin, Hope Oakgrove; those greeting her are her great-grandparents: Eugene and Ruth Dow and Betty and Jack White; uncle, Matthew Dow; great-uncle, Donald Dow; great-aunts and uncles: Byron Dow, Dewayne Dow, Margaret Dow, Alvina Dow, Rose Clyde-Whitefeather, James Whitefeather, Josephine Whitefeather; cousins Scott Stout and Marylynn Heinonen; as well as many other family members.

A traditional wake will begin at 1PM on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at the Ponemah Boys & Girls Club in Ponemah and continue until the service at 10AM on Thursday, August 22, 2024 with Mike Needham as spiritual leader. Active pallbearers will be: Eric Whitefeather, Seneca White, Vincent White, Carter Dow, Tyrone Dow, Travis Dow.  Honorary pallbearers will be: Charlotte’s Friends, Family and Community of Red Lake. Burial will be at her home alongside her grandparents, Vincent and Bonnie, and her cousin, Hope.
