Christopher A. Thomas, Makadewagabaw, Bullhead Clan, age 47, travelled to the spirit world on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, in Minneapolis, MN.
Chris was born on November 22, 1974, in Bemidji, MN, to Drucilla Smith and Murphy Thomas, Jr. He had lived in Minneapolis the last 12 years. Chris had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. He was an avid fan of all Minnesota teams, especially the Twins. He loved talking sports whenever he got the chance and was convinced Michael Jordan and Scotty Pippen were the greatest basketball players ever to play the game. He enjoyed outings with his brother, Kip, exploring Minneapolis and people watching. He was a nice guy and loved talking with everyone he met.
He will be lovingly remembered by his children: Tyus Whitefeather and Talia Whitefeather; brothers: Kwam Thomas, Koons Thomas, Kip Perkins, Cam Hardy, Tom Hardy and Moose Johnson; sisters: Valene Miller, Vanessa Miller, Valerie K. Stillday, Teresa Cloud, Rhonda Thomas and Amanda Johnson; aunts: Frances Miller and Barb Thomas; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Those greeting Chris in the spirit world are his brother, Murphy Thomas, III; parents: Murphy Thomas, Jr. and Drucilla “Dee” Smith; paternal grandparents: Murphy and Katherine Thomas, Sr. and his maternal grandparents.
The wake will begin at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at the Ponemah Boys & Girls Club in Ponemah and continue until the service on Wednesday, March 30, 2022. Allen Hardy will be the spiritual leader. Active casketbearers will be: Darwin Iceman, Daniel “Boone” Perkins, Darnell “Barney” Perkins, Derrick Seki, Darrell “Sparky” Seki, Jr., Wayne “Moose” Johnson, Jr., Kip Perkins and Michael Johnson. Honorary casketbearers will be: North Lake Team, Family and Friends of Chris, Cam Hardy, Tom Hardy, Kip Perkins, Wayne Johnson, Sr. and Cheryl Byers.
