Clara Smith

Clara Marie Smith, age 87, began her journey to the spirit world on Saturday, September 21, 2024, in Bemidji, MN.

Clara was born on March 21, 1937, in Rosebud, South Dakota to Lewis and Cornelia (Penn) Zimmerman Sr. She moved to Chicago, IL, in 1962 where she lived and raised her family. In July of 1988, she moved to Bemidji, MN. Clara enjoyed reading, especially Danielle Steel and Stephen King novels. She loved going to the casino to play Bingo and try her luck on the Keno machines. She had a great sense of humor, was quick to laugh and loved to tell jokes. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters: Alva (Conrad Sr.) Eaglefeather Thompson, Donna Eaglefeather, Betty (Robin “Fats”) Hanson, Angela Powers; son, Levi Eaglefeather, Jr.; sisters: Ida Zimmerman, Frances (Jack) Zimmerman, Betty Zimmerman; grandchildren: Conrad Thompson, Jr., Eric (Amy) Guardipee, Robin “Rawb” Lussier, Sr., Kenneth “Kenny” Hanson, Lakota Powers, Andrew (Ashley) Powers, Jason Powers, Gene Parker, Angel Powers, Hunter Parker, Misun Parker; great-grandchildren: Dezirre (Lawrence) Rushman, Endonnis White, Gretchin Guardipee, Natalie Guardipee, Giselle Honesty Lussier, Sapphia Joy Lussier, Kendra Leigh Hanson, Kenyan Lee Hanson, Jayden Green Hanson, Jael Marie Hanson, Karley Hanson, Kenny Hanson Jr.; great-great grandchildren: Andre, Chase, Channing, Emily, Evelyn, Cameron, Audrina, Autumn, Harley, Travis Jr., Jayliana, Hunter, Damario, Kiarro, Laraliya, Nevadah, Dravyn, Donovan, Lester Jr., Westin, Morris’a, Royal, Morris III, Saveerah, Aiden, Riley; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Those greeting her in the spirit world are her parents; husbands: Levi Eaglefeather, Sr., Kenneth Thompson, Darrell Powers; brother, Lewis Zimmerman, Jr.; granddaughter, Cathi Thompson; great-grandchildren: Christina Thompson, Morris Beaulieu, Jr., Robin Lussier Jr.

The wake will begin at 3PM on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at the Redby Community Center and continue until the service at 1PM on Thursday, September 26, 2024 with Father John Christianson officiating. Active pallbearers will be: Andrew Powers, Jason Stone, Conrad Thompson, Jr., Eric Guardipee, Hunter Parker, Misun Parker, Kenneth Hanson and alternate, Lawrence Cranquist, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be: Robin Lussier, Sr., Isaac Beaulieu, Angel Powers, Dezirre Rushman, Endonnis White, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
