Clarence Spears Sr, age 70, of Redby, MN, traveled to the Spirit World on Sunday, May 12, 2024 due to health. Clarence was born on October 16, 1953 to Albert Spears Sr and Eunice (Alice) Spears.
He grew up in Red Lake. Clarence was a loving father to all his sons and daughters. He loved traveling and visiting his friends and relatives. He was very protective over his two (2) granddaughters, Brielle and Lei’Emery, whom he was raising. He married Gloria Whitefeather Spears in Las Vegas on March 26, 1996. He worked at Red Lake Fisheries from 1990 to 1992, as a Fish and Wildlife Technician from 1994 to 1998, doing night security for DNR from 2003 to 2008 when he resigned due to health.
Clarence is survived by his sons Jeremy Archambault and Clarence Spears Jr; daughters Yvonne Spears, Cheyenne Martin Spears, Lisa Spears, Shiela Spears and Holly Sayers; sisters Mary “Jane” Bedeau Fayant, Kathy Spears Dudley and Donna Spears Jourdain; and special granddaughters Brielle Isham and Lei’Emery Barrett.
Those greeting him in the Spirit World are parents Albert Spears and Alice Spears; wife Gloria Whitefeather Spears; brothers John, Frank, Alberta Jr, Brian and Patrick; sisters Gloria Spears and Patsy Thompson; and aunts Mary RedEagle, Anna Spears and Loretta Berg.
A wake will begin at 1 PM on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Little Rock Center and continue until the service at 1 PM on Friday, May 17, 2024 with Father John Christianson. Active Pallbearers will be Tyrone Isham, Robert Cook Sr, Royce Spears, Oscar Spears, Darwin Donnell, Robert “B-Guy” May Sr, Robert “Bob” May and Patrick “Kane” Desjarlait. Alternate Pallbearers are Brian Bellanger and Kevin Young. Honorary Pallbearers will be Charles Donnell, Bill Thompson, Arnie Wood, Richard Johnson, “Bobo” Fairbanks, Marvin Head, Carter Spears, Patrick Spears, and all nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Burial will be at St Mary’s Cemetery in Red Lake, MN.
