Conrad "Ox" Kingbird "Waabishkii Binesi"

Conrad “Ox” Kingbird “Waabishkii Binesi” age 48, of Ponemah, Minnesota, of the Kingfisher Clan, passed away at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo ND on Wednesday, July 1, 2020. 

Conrad was born November 24, 1971, in Red Lake, MN, to Jerry Lee Kingbird and Mardel (Roland) Iceman. He grew up in Ponemah and was raised by Shirley Rosbear and sister Glenda Martin. Conrad loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed drawing, writing letters, doing art, playing cards and dice and the casino, listening to music,  hunting, and attending powwows.

Family Conrad will be reunited with are his father; grandparents; his brother Jeremy Kingbird; his special aunt who raised him, Verna R. Kingbird; and other aunts, uncles, and relatives.

He leaves behind his daughters Fawnessa Flores, Sheree Kingbird, Shirleen Kingbird, Sidney Kingbird, and Lylah Kingbird; son Conrad Kingbird Jr; four grandchildren; brothers Jason Kingbird, Randy Kingbird Sr., Jordan Kingbird, Kendall Kingbird, Don L. Kingbird, Jerry Lee Kingbird and Roland (Tujo) Iceman, Jr.; and sisters Zorana Iceman, Zenaida Iceman, Rolanda Iceman, Melinda Kingbird, Jonessa Kingbird, and Shaulissa Kingbird.

A wake for Conrad will begin Sunday, July 5, at 4:00 PM at the Ponemah Community Center and will continue until the service on Monday, July 6, at 11:00 AM.  Alan Hardy will serve as Spiritual Leader. Pallbearers caring for Conrad are Jason Kingbird, Kendall Kingbird, Sr., Jordan Kingbird, Randy Kingbird Sr., Jerrell Martin, Robert Rushman, Jr., Cheyenne Kingbird and Spencer Iceman, and alternate Roland Iceman III. Honorary Pallbearers are Zorana Iceman, Shaulissa Kingbird, Glenda Martin, Jonessa Kingbird, Melinda Kingbird, Rolanda Iceman, Zenaida Iceman, Shirley Rosbear, Elsie Rushman, Tina Roybal, Shari Iceman, and the rest of his family and his friends.
