Craig Alan Cook, age 44, passed away on June 12, 2021, at the Red Lake Hospital, Red Lake, Minnesota. Craig was born April 2, 1977, in Minneapolis, MN, to Fabian “Nickel” Cook and Gloria “Missy” (Good) Cook. He graduated from the Red Lake High School in 1995, and he went on to work in Security at the Seven Clans Casino in Thief River Falls, Mn. In late 1998, Craig began his employment with the Red Lake School District in maintenance. From July 2014 to March 2016, he worked alongside his son, Nick, for the RLBCI - Transfer Station. In his last place of employment, he worked as a laborer for North Star Enterprise.
Craig was a very happy, comical, fun man with lots of laughs. There was never a dull moment. Craig is loved so much and will be deeply missed by everyone, especially his kids, grandkids, wife, and all of his family. On September 21, 2010, he married Alicia May, whom he loved very much. Craig was an avid outdoorsman who loved to golf and fish. He especially loved to spend time with his kids, grandkids, and all of his family members whom he loved deeply.
Craig is survived by his wife Alicia Cook; father Fabian “Nickel” Cook; twin brother Clayton (Tiffany) Cook; sister Kimberly Cook; daughters Chelsey Redbear, Kylah Roy, Roxanne Cook, Aaliyah May, and Amarah Strong; son Nicholas Cook-Roy; grandkids Dean Fairbanks, Kameron Roy, Aki’rah Roy; nephews Darian Cobenais, Clayton Cook Jr., Trent (Sydney) Cook, Jaris (Kristy) Beaulieu, and Justice, Jarin and Jory Lussier; aunts Sammy Jo Bradrak and Elaine Branchaud; special aunts Sherry Good and Mary Ellen Cook (who loved him dearly); and uncles Mike, Larry, Ron and Donald Good Sr.
Craig will be greeted with open arms by his loving mother; grandparents Teddy and Ida Cook and Joe and Delores Good; aunts Vi Donnell, Ina Mae McNeal, Amelia Carson, Roberta Crowe, and Barbara Cook; uncles Hank, Billy, and Donald Cook, Herb McNeal, and Arien, Joe, Greg and Darwin Good; mother-in-law Roxanne May, along with several other family members.
A wake for Craig will begin Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at 1:00pm, at the Red Lake Community Center, and will continue until the service on Thursday, June 17, at 1:00pm. Fr. Jerry Rogers will officiate. Active pallbearers will be Mark Jones, Robert Williams, Justin Lussier Sr., Rodney Spears Jr., Tyrone Schoenborn, Kevin “KJ” Needham, Randy Barrett, Todd Barrett, Brian Seki, Eddy Fairbanks, Mike Good, Sheldon Cook Jr., Robert May, Rueben Wind, Gerald Wind, Shane Garrigan, Kyle Garrigan, and Robbie Cook Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Wendi Fairbanks, Cody Cook, Lydell Defoe Cook, Troy Cook, Devin Neadeau, Nikk Roy, Steve Johnson, Tom Sayers, Craig Sayers, Clarence Barrett, Ted Crowe, Rodney Lussier, Joey McNeal, Leo Cook, Jeff Cook, Kayla Cook, Jan Drouillard, Gordon Roy, Jason Wind, Cyrus King, Alivia Neadeau, Mike Crowe, Rob Cook Sr., Robbie McNeal, Duane Cook, Sheldon Cook Sr., Kevin Cook Jr., Colleen Cook, Kristy Fairbanks, Donald Roy, Crystal Raincloud, Randy Thunder, Greg Branchaud, Fabian Crowe, Justin Auginash, Jamie Auginash, and Tom Charnoski Jr. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Red Lake.
