Curt Desjarlait

Curt Desjarlait, age 53, of Red Lake, MN, travelled to the spirit world on Monday, June 5, 2023, in Red Lake.

Curt was born on December 29, 1969, in Red Lake, MN to Lora “Lala” Desjarlait and Curtis Crow. He loved kicking back with his tunes and blue tooth speakers and face timing. He liked watching Tubi TV, playing on his phone, was a certified mechanic and he was a great artist. He was silly and enjoyed break dancing and beatboxing while sipping his “sippy sip”.  He loved his family and everyone around him.

He is survived by: his longtime companion, Katie Buffalo; father, Curtis Crow; children: Doug, Curt and Niiwin Desjarlait; siblings: Roselee, Touresa and Jedediah Desjarlait and Stephen, Dyan, Darrell and Megan Crow; 11 grandchildren; special nieces, Brandi Desjarlait, Shay Desjarlait and Alize Olson; special friends: Mona Sayers, Marlene Buffalo, Corey (Mare Lussier) Desjarlait, “Little Man” Jason Jackson, all the Buffalo kids and family; and a special thanks to aunts: Mary Ann Cook and Wilma Roy-Mandragon and uncles: Jim and Billy Roy; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Those greeting him in the spirit world are: his mother, Lora “Lala” Desjarlait; son, Quentin “Tiners” Vine-Desjarlait; sister, Crystal Hickman; nephew, Christian Hickman; grandfather, Simon Desjarlait; aunts: Roselyn Desjarlait and Marion Roy; uncles: Dougy Desjarlait and Roland “Babe Joe” Roy.

The wake will begin at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at the New Red Lake Community Center in Red Lake and continue until the service on Saturday, June 10, 2023. Active casektbearers will be: Jedediah Desjarlait, Stephen Crow, Darrell “Bear” DeMarrias, Doug Desjarlait, Curt Desjarlait, Montana Keoke. Honorary casektbearers will be Reggie and Chris Lussier.
