Cynthia Adeline (McIntyre) Meyer

Cynthia Adeline (McIntyre) Meyer, formerly of Stillwater and Mahtomedi, Minnesota passed away on July 21st, 2026, at the Edgewood May Creek memory care cottage in Walker, Minnesota. 

Cynthia was born in Stillwater, Minnesota on July 8th, 1940, the daughter of Quentin LeRoy McIntyre and Edith (Lewcox) McIntyre. She grew up in Stillwater, Minnesota and had many fond memories of the family’s beautiful Victorian home on Olive Street.  Cynthia was baptized and confirmed from the First Methodist church in Stillwater, MN.  She graduated in 1958 from Stillwater High school and later attended the University of Minnesota, where she met the love of her life, Gerald Theodore (Jerry) Meyer.  Cynthia and Jerry were united in marriage on July 1st, 1961, at the First Methodist Church in Stillwater, MN.  Cynthia worked for the 3M Corporate office in St. Paul, MN. with 33 years of loyal service retiring on May 1st, 2005, as an Honorary 3M Ambassador of Goodwill.  In addition to her career at 3M, Cynthia was a loving wife of 45 years and a caregiver to her late Husband, Jerry as he lived with Multiple Sclerosis until he passed away on December 14th, 2006.  Cynthia and Jerry enjoyed being avid Minnesota Viking Fans and had a love of blue grass music, attending many festivals. Her love of music was also in the joy of playing her piano, which was a treasured gift that Jerry had given her.  Cynthia was known for her love of gardening, birds and dogs, and for her crafts of embroidery, knitting, and felt and sequin calendars that she would make for gifts.  At family gatherings, one of the favorite dishes was her potato salad. 

Preceded in death by her husband, Gerald T. (Jerry) Meyer. Her parents, Quentin and Edith McIntyre.  Her father and mother-in-law, Theodore and Ruth Meyer; sisters-in-law; Virginia (Bruce) Bernin and Cindy Jean Sklenar.

Survived by nephews, Don (Deb) Bernin and David (Becky) Bernin, and niece Diane Bisping and their children and many dear friends.

Private family service and interment will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Stillwater, Minnesota.  To know her, was to love her.  God Bless her memory.
