Darlene Beaulieu Obituary

Darlene Ann Beaulieu, age 81, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, in Red Lake, MN.

Darlene was born on August 10, 1943 in Red Lake, MN, to  Thomas and Fannie (Anderson) Johns. She attended school at St. Mary’s Mission, received her GED from Red Lake and went on to  get her certificate in cosmetology from the beauty academy in Minneapolis. She lived her early years in Red Lake. She was united in marriage to Ronald Leo Beaulieu Sr. in 1961, in Robbinsdale, MN; this union was blessed with four daughters. Darlene worked at many locations throughout her lifetime and had a career at Honeywell that spanned 27 years. 

Darlene was one of the kindest, loving and caring woman around. She loved to laugh and be with family. Darlene loved the casino, especially Keno and had good luck, winning a lot! She was always busy doing home improvement projects and decorating her home. Due to her health, she moved back to Red Lake after 30 years.

She will be lovingly remembered by three daughters: Lisa R. Beaulieu, Rona (Al) Beaulieu and Sheila (David) Beaulieu; sister, Priscilla Stately; brothers: Maynard Johns and Dale Johns; 19 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Kenneth Jones Sr., Roman Johns Sr., Charles Johns, Leonard Johns, Edith Jackson, Sylvia Brun; daughter, Darla Beaulieu; son-in-law, Craig Roy, Sr., granddaughter, Lucia Beaulieu and great-grandson, Waasabii Beaulieu.

A wake will begin at Noon on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at the Old Little Rock Center and continue until the service at 1PM on Monday, September 9, 2024, with Father John Christianson officiating. Active pallbearers will be her grandsons: Joseph Parshall, Ramone Beaulieu Sr., Dustin Beaulieu, Aaron Beaulieu, Alton Beaulieu, Sr., Tyrone Beaulieu, Sr., Craig Roy, Jr. Theveath Beaulieu, Jesse Roy, David Mendez; alternates: Vernon Jones Sr., Harold Brun Sr. Honorary pallbearers will be: Fawn Beaulieu, Dawn Beaulieu, Karis Beaulieu, Vanessa Ortiz, Dava Beaulieu, Maria Ortiz, Chelsea Beaulieu, Kelsey Roy, Yolanda Ortiz; alternates: Billie Jean King and Ramona Desjarlait. Burial will be at the Roy Family Cemetery in Red Lake.
