Darvin Joseph Goodleft, Jr.

Darvin Joseph “JR” Goodleft Jr. was born on April 6, 1987, to Julie RedEagle and Darvin Goodleft Sr, in Red Lake MN.  He began his journey onto the spirit world at the Red Lake Hospital on Friday, May 26, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones.  He grew up in Minneapolis, MN and later moved to Red Lake, MN with his family.  He was raised by Mike Roberts and loved JR as his own.  Darv graduated from Red Lake High School and then he met the love of his life, Ellie Beaulieu.  They had 3 beautiful daughters and made a life together.

Before his illness, he loved spending time with his family and friends, watching his daughters grow and dance on the powwow trail. Ellie and the girls were his world, and  it’s the only thing he was worried about til the end of his battle with cancer.

Darvin is survived by the love of his life Nadine “Ellie” Beaulieu, his beautiful babies Amira Janae, Amara Jade, Bryanna Leigh Beaulieu, his mom Julie RedEagle, little Brother Mike Bubblz Roberts, Mother & Father In Law Maureen Beaulieu and Louis Martinez, Uncles Robert RedEagle, James RedEagle, Thomas Johnson, Alvin Johnson, Elden RedEagle, Harvey Goodleft, JR.  Aunts Sandy and Evelyn RedEagle, Agnes Smith, Clarinda June Goodleft.  Along with many relatives in Minnesota and North Dakota.

Welcoming him home to the spirit world are his Dad Mike Roberts, Father Darvin Sr, Grandparents Sam and Gertrude RedEagle, Harvey Goodleft Sr,  Pearl Roberts, Aunts Rose Gibbs, Susie and Gail Goodleft, Jennie Pasillas, Roxanne, Marilyn, Roslynn Roberts, Uncles Ben and Jeff Roberts, Howard and Sam Kitto, Francis Chuck Oakgrove, Lil Bro Garrick Lawrence, Jr, John Roberts Sr., Antonio Rodriguez, Nina Roberts, and many other relatives.

The wake will begin at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, May 29, 2023 at the Red Lake Center in Red Lake and continue until the service at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 31, 2023. Pallbearers will be: Mike “Bubblz” Roberts, Jeffrey Barrett, Brian Bellanger, Keith RedEagle, Sr., Brandon Cordova, Darrel Taylor, Mike Johnson, Fabe Cloud, and honorable mention: Kyle Clark and Lil Jim RedEagle. Honorary pallbearers will be: Ellie Beaulieu, Amira Beaulieu, Amara Beaulieu, Bryanna Beaulieu, Tonisha Alkire, Mike Zephier, June Goodleft, LaTasha Beaulieu, Martina Beaulieu, Carmen Strong, Arlene RedEagle, Robyn Dudley, Jessica RedEagle, Jessica Brown, Jim RedEagle and Bob RedEagle. Burial will be at a later date. Arrangements by Whispering Pines Funeral & Cremation Service of Walker & Hackensack.
