David Charles Wind Sr.

David Charles Wind Sr “BaaBaaMaaNakwad” (Moving Cloud), Eagle (Migizii) Clan, age 31, of Red Lake, Minnesota, started his journey to the spirit world on Monday, October 16, 2023. He was born on April 8, 1992 to Toni Wind and deceased Daryl “Dash” Allen Lussier, in Red Lake, Minnesota.

David enjoyed spending time with his kids, playing video games, singing in the shower and going to pow-wows. He was always helping others when anyone needed anything.  He enjoyed working on cars and going to the casino. He loved going to family gatherings and hanging out with his friends.  David enjoyed cooking and listening to music. He loved playing sports and being outdoors, camping, fishing and hunting. We have to mention David’s sense of humor “Because he really thought he was funny!”  He will be missed very much and remembered as a caring, loving and kind person that enjoyed making people laugh.

David is survived by his mother Toni Wind; girlfriend Felicia Cloud-Jones; his two sons David Wind Jr and Bre’Shaun Wind and two special daughters Patience Hurd and Jerricka Strong; sisters Shauna Lussier, Marcella Torez; and one brother Devon Lussier.

He will be joined in the spirit world with his father Daryl Lussier Sr; sister Tammy Lussier; brother Daryl Lussier Jr; daughter Ambria Wind; grandparents Joyce Wind and Roy Beaulieu, Rueben Wind Sr and Margaret White Wind; along with numerous aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews. 

The wake will begin at 1 PM on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at the Old Red Lake Center and continue until the service at 10 AM on Saturday, October 21, 2023 with Spiritual Advisor Allen Hardy. Active Casketbearers will be Dennis Robinson, Nodin Wind, Tim Lussier, Chase Lussier, Leif Lussier, Rueben Wind Jr, David Cobenais Jr and Gerald Wind. Alternates will be Devon Lussier and Mike Dominguez Jr, Jordan Lussier and Dakota Strong. Honorary Casketbearers will be Felicia Cloud-Jones, Joyce Wind, Jenny Bejorgo, Lance Wind, Shauna Lussier, Roadz Gibbz, Marcella Torez, Jason Wind, Art Jones Sr, Anita (Doodie) Lussier, Andrew Jones, Tori Lussier, Brianna Strong, Margaret Wind, Roger Durant and Ben Cloud Jr.
