Dennis James Rivers

Dennis James Rivers, age 43, of the Mink Clan, began his journey to the spirit world on December 13, 2025 in Carlton, MN.

Dennis was born on August 24, 1982 to Dennis King Sr and Stacey Rivers in Minneapolis, MN. He was a very good artist and enjoyed the outdoors. He loved spending time with his family.

Dennis is survived by brothers: Kyle Neadeau, Jason Smith-King, Damon Jones and Dennis King Jr; sisters: Jasmine Rivers and Tehya King; son: Gavin Michael Rivers; aunties: Barbara Ortiz, Rosalee, Charlotte, Sandi King, Natasha Clark; uncles: Leonard King and Clarence Clark Jr.

He is preceded in death by father: Dennis King; mother: Stacey Rivers; special mothers: Jocelyn Jones, Jacelyn Hobson and Naomi Paolson; paternal grandparents: August (Knotty) King Jr and Dorothy (Isham) King; great-grandparents: Hereditary Head Chief August King; and great-grandmother: Beatrice (Ashing) King; and cousin: Angel King.

A wake will begin at 1 PM on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at the Redby Center and will continue until the service at 10 AM on Friday, January 2, 2026 with Spiritual Leader Ty Stately. Active Pallbearers will be Damon Jones, Dennis King Jr, Devin Beaulieu-Morgan Sr, Harlan Kingbird III, Dominick King-Lussier, Barry Cloud. Alternates: Lestat Cloud, Stephan Cloud, Ethan Kingbird. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tehya King, Jasmine Rivers, Shelly Little, Charlotte Clark, Jocelyn Hobson, Barbara Ortiz, Rosalee, Charlotte, Sandi King, Natasha Clark, Leonard King, Clarence Clark Jr, Kyle Neadeau, Jason Smith-King, Alex Gould.
