Diane Faye Johnson

Diane Faye Johnson, age 79, of Hackensack, Minnesota, passed away on June 10, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Diane was born on October 1, 1943 to James Williams and Dorothy Bunker.

Diane was brought up with a deep faith and her strong faith in Jesus was especially apparent when she talked about how beautiful Heaven was going to be. It was her deepest wish and prayer that all her family would be saved. Diane loved the outdoors and all the wonderful activities that came with it, especially fishing.  She loved arts and crafts and painting Ray's woodworking projects. Diane had an enduring, boisterous and wholesome laugh that filled a room. She loved to spread joy and make others laugh and she always had a punchline to share. During the last year, she came to love watching Gunsmoke and other old westerns.  Diane had a deep love for her family, especially for her grandchildren and her beloved husband Raymond. Ray was the love of her life, her soulmate and her best friend. Diane and Ray were a package deal; they were inseparable in everything that they did, except for watching wrestling... Ray had his own porch for that!

Diane is survived by her husband Raymond; daughters Debbie Hembroff and Rhonda McKnight; step-daughter Belinda (Santiago) Jackson; grandchildren Amanda (Dean) Moodie and Brady Sheeley; Brittany and Brandee Soderlin, Santiago Jr and Joseph Salas; great-grandchildren Landon and Lincoln Moodie; Kaydence Wheeler; and 10 additional great-grandchildren whom she loved.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Northwoods Church, 500 8th Street, Walker, Minnesota with Pastor Gary Flow.  A luncheon will follow at the church.
