Donna Mae Parry

Donna Mae Parry, age 78, of Longville, MN, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, June 6, 2019.

Donna was born on August 1, 1940 in Canton, SD to Melvin and Rita (Weisenbach) Christopherson. As a girl, she lived in various parts of South Dakota with her family.  She graduated from High School in Brandon, SD.  She married her High School sweetheart, Marlin Parry on November 24, 1956.  They were blessed with three children:  Marlys, Melinda and Charles.  They made their home in Sioux Falls for several years before moving to Minneapolis, MN.  After retirement they moved to their lake home in Longville, MN.

Donna had many hobbies and interests. She enjoyed gardening and tending to her flower beds.  She loved the solitude of their home and could be found in her chair many afternoons looking out over the lake and working on puzzle books.  She and Marlin were avid snowmobilers and toured throughout Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan.  Above all, she was proud of her children and grandchildren and looked forward to their visits to the lake.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Marlin; her children:  Marlys (Jerry) Guritz, Melinda (Tim) Anderson and Charles; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and siblings:  Larry (Margaret) Christopherson, Elaine (Don) Sauers and Jerry (Shelly) Christopherson.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at St. Edward’s Catholic Church in Longville with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
