Edward Crowe

Edward “Mikey” Crowe, age 55, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024, in Minneapolis MN.

Mikey was born on October 10, 1968, in Chicago, IL, to Roberta (Cook) Crowe and Edison “Butch” Crowe.

Mikey worked fighting forest fires, a concrete foundry, and also did tree trimming in Wisconsin with his dad. He was most recently working for WEX program in Minneapolis.

Mikey was just a happy, funny guy and LOVED to make people laugh with the things he would say to everybody. Mikey loved to go to the casino to play Keno and he loved to be around family, especially his grandkids. People that knew Mikey, know he was one of the best, comical as ever. Even when he was trying to be serious, after a while he would still burst out laughing. He is gonna be missed so much.

Mike is survived by his daughter, Melissa Crowe; three grandchildren: Dalicia Beaulieu, Antwawn Boswell Jr., Heaven Ogema; two brothers: Teddi and Fabian “Chunky” Crowe; special friend and the mother of his daughters, Joni Martin; nieces: Brittany Crowe, Maria Crowe, Seantel Crowe and Shayna Roberts; nephews: Devin Crowe and Alex Blue; aunts: Mary Ellen Cook, Sammi Jo Braddock and Shirley Crowe-Teller; uncles: Fabian “Nickel” Cook and Saunders Crowe; as well as other relatives and friends.

Those he’s joining are: his parents, Roberta and Butch; daughter, Miranda Crowe; brother, Brian “Bum” Crowe; grandparents: Teddi and Ida Cook and Edison and Almeda Crowe; special sisters: Shannon Cook and Michele “Mushy” Spears, Shirley McNeal; many aunts and uncles and numerous cousins.

A wake will begin at 1PM on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at the Old Red Lake Center in Red Lake and continue until the service at 1PM on Saturday, August 17, 2024 with Father John Christianson officiating. Active pallbearers will be: Clayton Cook, Chubbs Spears, Shane Garrigan, Dan Cook, Duane Cook Sr., Kevin Cook Jr., Verdell Cook, Cody Lydell, Dylen Cook, Sheldon Cook, Dave Cook, Bill McNeal, Eddy Fairbanks, Bern Day Sr., Leo Cook, Barry Oakgrove Sr., Devin Crowe. Honorary pallbearers will be: Kim Cook, Kristi Fairbanks, Colleen Cook, Kayla Cook, Karen Ramirez, Sharon Cook, Donna Cook, Sheila Cook, Julie Cook, Anna Oakgrove, Leichele Oakgrove, Holly Oakgrove, Beerbomb Cook, Melanie “Josie” Dow, Liza Spears, Jan Thunder, Krunch Hegstrom, Ethel Branchaud.
