Elizabeth J. Drumbeater

Elizabeth J. Drumbeater, age 75, of Cass Lake, MN, passed away, on Friday, May 14, 2021 at Sanford Medical Center in Bemidji, MN.

Elizabeth was born on April 30, 1946 in Cass Lake, MN to William and Lucille Ryan.  She grew up in Ryans Village and Bena, MN.  She enjoyed working with children and taught preschool in Bena for many years.

Elizabeth had many hobbies and interests.  She looked forward to trips to area Casinos to try her luck on the slots. She was gifted with her hands and enjoyed beadwork.  Later in life, she took up gardening, and took great pride in the flower beds she created.  Above all, she loved spending time with her family and visiting with friends.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Christine Cummings; Theresa Kesick, who was raised by Elizabeth and was thought of as a daughter; her brother, Ernest (Sandra) Ryan; granddaughter, Cathryn Elizabeth Porter, as well as other relatives and many special friends.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands: Mark Cummings and Patrick Drumbeater and her brother, Cecil Ryan.

A wake will begin at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, May 21, 2021 at the Veterans Memorial Building in Cass Lake, MN and continue until the service at 1pm on Saturday, May 22, 2021 with Reverend Bill Butcher officiating. Honorary urnbearers will be:  Victor Porter, Jerome Mitchell, Roxanne Drumbeater, Bernice Driver, Ernest Ryan and Willis Burnette.  Arrangements provided by Whispering Pines Funeral & Cremation Services.
