Elizabeth M. Norcross

Elizabeth Renee Norcross, Waabizhingos “White Weasel”, “Yoda”, age 36, began her journey to the spirit world on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, in Duluth, MN.

Elizabeth was born on August 9, 1988, in Bemidji, MN to MaryLou Clark- Norcross. She grew up in Kelliher until her mother passed away in 1997, then moved to Deer River where she graduated from Deer River High School.

Elizabeth loved to travel. She moved to Oregon then came back to Red Lake where she attended classes at Red Lake Nation College. She later moved to Duluth where she decided to settle with her family. She loved to go on walks, coloring, journaling, watching movies, cleaning, cooking, collecting coins and rocks. She loved to make arguments even though she never won her arguments! She loved her children and did her best being a mother.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Gavin Jourdain, Xander Smith, Oceanna Smith, Mamingwa Jourdain; sister, Phyllis (Mark) Norcross of Red Lake; brothers: Michael Norcross Jr., Brian (Christy) Norcross, Gary Norcross, Geoffrey Norcross, all of Duluth; as well as other relatives and friends.

Those greeting her are: her son, Davin Jenkins Jr., mother, MaryLou Clark-Norcross; sisters: Michelle Clark, Teana Clark, Rachel Clark, Laura Clark; special aunt, Donna Howard; maternal grandmother, Delores Clark; paternal grandmother, Genevieve Adams; maternal great-grandmother, Fannie Clark; paternal great-grandfather, Bill Norcross.

The wake will begin at 1PM on Friday, September 20, 2024, at the Redby Community Center and continue until the service at 2PM on Saturday, September 21, 2024 with Father George Ross officiating. Active pallbearers will be: Gavin Jourdain, Mark Jourdain, Rhys Beaulieu, Ashton Jourdain, Ryan Clark, Ethan Clark, Brian Norcross, Frankie Papasodora-Clark.  Honorary pallbearers will be: Oceanna Smith, Mamingwa Jourdain, Phyllis Norcross, Brandee Jourdain, Devin Jourdain and family, Elizabeth’s nieces, Clark and Norcross Families, Cheyenn Clark, Diane Howard. Burial will be at a later date. Arrangements provided by Whispering Pines Funeral & Cremation Service.
