Farrell (Roadie) James Kingbird, of the Eagle Clan, age 47, began his journey to the spirit world on April 13, 2026 in International Falls, MN.
Farrell was born on October 23, 1978 to Jack and Marlene (Spears) Kingbird Jr in Red Lake, MN. He was raised in and graduated from high school in International Falls. Farrell learned how to sing as he grew up on the powwow circuit with his dad. He enjoyed fishing, listening to powwow music and learning new songs.
Farrell is survived by daughter Nina May-Kingbird; his parents Jack Kingbird Jr and Marlene (Spears) Lussier; his sister Alisa Ann Kingbird; as well as numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by brother Ronald “Ronnie’ Kingbird; paternal grandparents Jack and Lucille (Downfeather) Kingbird Sr; and maternal grandmother Rosella Spears.
A wake will begin on Thursday, April 16, 2026 and will continue until the service at 10 AM on Friday, April 17, 2026 with Spiritual Leader Allen Hardy. Active Pallbearers will be family and friends. Burial will be at the Kingbird Family Burial Grounds in Ponemah, MN. Arrangements provided by Whispering Pines Funeral & Cremation Service, serving Northern Minnesota.
