Floyd Cloud, Ginoozi Inini “Tall Man” of the Bear Clan, age 65, began his journey to the spirit world on Sunday, June 21, 2026 in Bemidji, MN.
Floyd was born on March 10, 1961 in Red Lake, MN to Wallace and Betty (Stillday) Cloud Sr. He worked various jobs over the years in construction, security and as a mechanic. In his free time, he enjoyed watching old Westerns, listening to music and trying his luck on the Keno machines at the casino. Floyd loved to go for long walks and car rides in the woods, always taking the scenic route when possible. He was a proud member of the Obashing Mide Lodge. Above all, he looked forward to spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He will be lovingly remembered by his children: Tammy Jo Atkinson, Thomas John LeBlanc; children he helped raise: Michael and Anthony Fasthorse, Joe Perkins, Patrick Jourdain; siblings: Sandra Cloud and Orianna Kimbrell; grandchildren: Tyrell Atkinson, Shawn Kingbird II, Isaac Atkinson, Peyton Atkinson, Savanna Atkinson, Sabastian Jourdain, Adriana Cruz, Hunter Stately, Hazel Perkins, Harmony Perkins, Haven Perkins, Joe Perkins Jr, Pauline Cloud, Pretty Fasthorse; mother of his children, June Atkinson; partner, Patty Perkins; aunts: Esther Cloud, Rose “Bonnie” Cloud, Althea Stillday; uncles: Leonard Cloud, Rusty Cloud; as well as number other relatives and friends.
Those greeting him in the spirit world are his parents: Wallace and Betty Cloud; son, Randy Atkinson; siblings: Karen Cloud, Wallace “Magoo” Cloud Jr; maternal grandparents: Warren and Alvina Stillday; paternal grandparents: Roy and Helen Cloud; nieces: Angela Cloud, Teresa Cloud, Nadine Cloud; nephew, Stephan Villiard.
A traditional wake will begin at 7 PM on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at the Ponemah Boys & Girls Club in Ponemah and continue until the service at 10AM on Friday, June 26, 2026 Zac Earley and Ty Stately as spiritual leaders. Active pallbearers will be: Tyrell Atkinson, Isaac Atkinson, Jordan Cloud, Anthony Fasthorse, Michael Fasthorse, Joe Perkins, Patrick Jourdain, Elliot Cloud. Honoray pallbearers will be: Betty Kimbrell, Kyla Villiard, Vickey Fineday, Rochelle Atkinson, Brenda Smith, Shawn Kingbird II, Mike Jensen, Gary Thunder, John Jourdain, Floyd Jourdain Sr, Sue Jourdain, Obashing Mide Lodge family; nieces. Burial will be at the Cloud Family Burial Grounds in Ponemah. Arrangements provided by Whispering Pines Funeral & Cremation Service.
