Forrest Daniel King, Sr., age 34, of Bemidji, MN, passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at his home in Bemidji.
Forrest was born on January 3, 1987, in Bemidji, MN to Gerry Graves and Karen King. He grew up in Minneapolis and moved to the Red Lake/Bemidji area in his teens. He worked as a personal care attendant for his brother, Kameron, who he saved from a house fire. He also worked at Seven Clans Casino in various positions. He was very athletic and was training as a long-distance runner, recently completing a 21-mile run. He also loved to skateboard. Forrest was a movie buff and was great at quoting famous movie lines. He had a big heart and loved spending time with his family and helping out with his nephew, KJ.
He will be lovingly remembered by his five children: Forrest King, Jr., Kendrik King, Marques King, Katelynn King and Shaun King; his parents: Karen (Derek Siddens) and Gerry Graves; siblings: Gerry (Barb) King, Karissa (Myron Benais) King, Kameron King and Autumn Lussier-Graves; maternal grandmother, Charlene (Sonny Johnson) King- Johnson; paternal grandfather, Peter Graves; the mothers of his children: Mishaun Neadeau and Ashley Clark; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Forrest was preceded in death by two daughters: Giselle Stately and Emma Rose King; his maternal grandfather, Freddy L. King, Sr., paternal grandmother, LuAnne Charnoski; and cousins: Jennifer Fairbanks, Joel Graves and Bryan Graves.
The wake will begin at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at the Red Lake Community Center in Red Lake and continue until the service at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, November 8, 2021 with Father John Christianson officiating. Casketbearers will be: Gerry King, Cyrus King, James Parkhurst, Jr., Josh Neadeau, Jeff Schoenborn, Nicholas Strong and Brandon Fairbanks. Honorary casketbearers will be: Clinton White, Gordon Jones, Derek Siddens, Dan Brun, Reed Sweeney, Stuart Sweeney, Jr., Brett Sweeney, Toni Lynn Wells, Rodney “Chubs” Spears, Jr., and Adam White, Sr..
