Francisco Xavier Marquez, 22, of Minneapolis, MN entered the spirit world on June 17, 2023, in Minneapolis. He was born on June 25, 2000, in Minneapolis to David Rubio Marquez and Salina Johnson. As a child he lived in Minneapolis and as a preteen he lived in Mexico then moved back to Minneapolis after he graduated from Otilio Montano High School and begin working construction. He loved dancing and traveling the United States. His hobbies include motorcycle riding and going to car races. Francisco is preceded in death by his Aunties Delma Hardy, Stacy Hardy, Araceli Rubio-Marquez Dellis Johnson, grandfather Marlon Johnson, great grandmother Rosedell Johnson, Grandmother Eufracia Marquez-Hermandez. He is survived by his parents David Rubio Marquez and Salina Johnson; brother Edward Rodriguez III; sisters Ryshayna (Deion Johnson, Juanita Rubio, Raquel Marquez, Nahstacia Johnson, Elayna Rodriguez; grandparents Williamette Hardy, Leonardo Rubio-Pliego; great great grandmother Elizabeth Kingbird; aunts and uncles Melody, Season, Anthony, Matthew, Beni, Juanita, Lucy, Francisco, Lorenzo, Jose; special great aunties Julie Johnson, Tina Johnson; nieces and nephews Elliot, Dakarai, Cataleya, Jayline, Yulanni, Waaseyaa, Jacob; many aunts, uncles, cousins.
A wake for Francisco will begin on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 7:00 PM and continue until the traditional funeral service on Sunday at 11:00 AM at the Ponemah, MN Boys and Girls Club. Pallbearers for Francisco were Edward Rodriguez Jr., Deion Burris, Challenge (Jim) Johnson, Andrew French, Samuel Soto and Yahir Rubio. The burial will be in the Ponemah Family Burial Grounds. Arrangements are by Whispering Pines Funeral & Cremation Service, Walker, MN.
