Gary Lee Wind Sr. of Red Lake, MN passed away on January 25th, 2025, surrounded by family at Valley Care and Rehab in Barnesville, MN.
Gary was born in Minneapolis, MN, to Joyce A. Wind of Red Lake, MN and Roy "Butch" Beaulieu of Cass Lake, MN. In 1992 He Married Nona Wade and shared three children, they later divorced in 1999. He met Devonna Waybenais and shared two beautiful daughters and split in 2008.
Gary was known for his great sense of humor. He was always joking and having fun with family and friends. Despite his condition, he never let that get in the way of what mattered to him, even when he wasn’t feeling well. He always wore a genuine smile and his laughter was contagious. His biggest love was spending time with his kids and grandchildren. He also enjoyed going to the casino to play keno, adamantly sharing his formulas for winning with those around him. Gary was also well known for his collection of hats and shoes, He always had to look fresh and in style.
His mighty and humorous spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Allicia (Ricky) Wind of Red Lake, MN. Andrea “Draya” Wind of Red Lake, MN. Sister's; Toni Wind of Red Lake, MN. Melody Hanners of Rochester MN. Margaret Wind of Sommerset, WI. Amanda (Tara) Fairbanks of Bemidji, MN. Brother; Randy (Talie) Wind of Rochester, MN. Step Brothers; Neil Lussier of Red Lake, MN Carl Fairbanks Sr. of Cass Lake, MN. Joseph Fairbanks of Cass Lake, MN. Aunt Cheryl Wind of Red Lake, MN. Uncles; Larry Beaulieu of Cass Lake and David Beaulieu of Cass Lake. As well as many nephews nieces and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joyce Wind and Roy “Butch” Beaulieu, Step-Mom Barb Fairbanks, Aunts; Shirley Beaulieu, Margaret “Muggs” Beaulieu, Donna Beaulieu, Uncles; Kenny Beaulieu, Anson Beaulieu, Rueben “Piggy” Wind, Terry Wind, Chuck Wind Sisters; Brenda Wind, and Janice Fairbanks, Nephews; David Wind, Joey Fairbanks. Niece; Ambria Wind, Breanna Wind, Baby Rhonda Fairbanks, and many more family and friends.
A wake will be held February 5th at 1 pm at the New Red Lake Center. Followed by a Celebration of Life on February 6th at 11:00 am. Honorary Urn Bearers will be his siblings, kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews, Nona & Devonna. Gary’s remains will be sprinkled by family at his favorite places.
