George White III Obituary

George Owen White III, age 45, Waabishki Makwa “White Bear”,  began his journey to the spirit world on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at North Memorial Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. George was born on March 24, 1979 to George White Jr and Candace Beaulieu in Red Lake, MN.

George attended Red Lake High School, graduating in 1997. He worked at various jobs, including to help build Walmart, Red Lake Tribal College, Tribal Council and Tribal Police Department, Security at Red Lake Hospital, Water Park Manager at Thief River Falls and also a cook at Westbrooks. George lived life to the fullest and enjoyed being surrounded by his children, family and all his friends. George was faithful to all his customers while conducting his hair cutting business "Crispy Cuts." His heart was always in the right place when helping people out. He did all he could do so that others did not have to be alone and go without. He never hesitated to be the Family Chef when it came to family gatherings. He enjoyed cooking and grilling for all those who gathered at his mother's home for great food. When he didn't have anything planned, he was always up to take good road trip which lead him to Colorado and Arizona. One fond memory of Geo was when he did a duet with the late Brandon Beaulieu dancing and singing to "Boot Scootin' Boogie" by Brooks & Dunn. George left a memory with all those he encountered and all those he grew up with.

George is survived by his mother Candace Beaulieu, children Shai Leigh Atkinson and Gianna White; siblings Karen, Merri and Vincent White; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, George White Jr, paternal grandparents George Sr and Mary White; maternal grandparent Marion Monica Beaulieu; uncles Verdell and Chuckie Beaulieu and Roger White Sr; aunts Westy Beaulieu, Nora Thunder, Deanie Bailey, Diane and Carol White; and nephew Sheldon G.D. White.
