Georgia Lynn Johnson Gaagige-binesiikwe “Eternal Forever Thunderbird Woman, Waswassii “Bullhead Clan”, age 42, began her journey to the spirit world on Thursday, June 19, 2025 in Duluth, MN surrounded by her family.

Georgia was born on December 7, 1982 in Red Lake, MN to Julie R. Johnson and George French Jr. She made her home in Redby with her husband, Tyrone and daughters, Tyiceyanne and Tyleissiayah. Georgia enjoyed going for rides, shopping trips, spending time at the lake and snuggling up on the couch watching TV, and episodes of Charmed.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Tyrone Spears; daughters: Tyiceyanne Johnson-Spears and Tyleissiyah Spears; parents: Julie Johnson and George (Dawna) French Jr.; siblings: Adrienne (Justin) Johnson, Jolene Riley, Rayjean French, Mikey French; mother-in-law, Patrica Sigana; aunts: Linda Cloud, Debbie French, Kristine French, Yolanda French; uncles: Corey French, Sheldon French; as well as other relatives and friends.

Georgia was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: Harvey and Susan Johnson; paternal grandparents: George and Regina French Sr; uncles: Harold James Johnson Sr, Butch Johnson; aunt, Roberta Rosebear.

A traditional wake will begin at Noon on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at the Ponemah Boys & Girls Club in Ponemah and continue until the service at 10AM on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 with Mike Needham as spiritual leader. Active pallbearers will be: David Rosebear Jr, Harold James Johnson Jr, Barry James Oakgrove Jr, Michael Seki Jr, David Seki, Mikey French, Justin Sigana, Dewey French, Jason Spears, Quesean Johnson.
