Harriet M. Edwards

Harriet M. Edwards, age 80, passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, surrounded by her family, in Isanti, MN.

Harriet was born on December 21, 1942, in St. Louis, Missouri to William and Mary (Hartman) Fox. She moved with her family to Whipholt, MN where they purchased Whipholt Camp Resort. She graduated from Walker High School with the class of 1961. She was married to Robert Edwards on November 25, 1961. They made their home in Anoka, MN. In addition to caring for her own family, Harriet started “Grandma’s Daycare” and took care of many children over the years, loving and treating them as her own. She was an excellent baker and cake decorator who always made her family and day care children feel special by decorating them custom birthday cakes. Harriet loved tending to both her flower beds and vegetable gardens, canning vegetables each fall for her family and friends. She was a generous, charitable person, always willing to help when needed.  Above all, she loved her family and looked forward to visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters: Deborah (Dan) Strohmayer, Lynn (Rob) Zigan, Jennifer (Neil) Larson; Gina (Alex) Collier, Lisa (Stacy) Long; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; brothers: William (Sara) Fox and Harvey Fox; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Harriet was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; twin daughters in infancy: Pammy and Tammy.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, August 7, 2023, at Salem Lutheran Church in Longville with Reverend Trish Jorgenson officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Active casketbearers will be: Dan Strohmayer, Rob Zigan, Neil Larson, Alex Collier, Stacy Long and Braton Collier. Honorary casketbearers will be: William Fox, Harvey Fox, David Edwards, John Edwards, Cody Collier, Cole Lee and David Fox.  Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Longville.
