Henry Darwin Donnell Sr

Henry Darwin Donnell Sr, age 76, of Redby, MN, began his journey to the spirit world on July 9, 2024 at Red Lake, MN.  Henry was born on July 20, 1947 to Louis and Jane (Lussier) Donnell in Red Lake, Minnesota.

Henry owned (and was very proud of) his Buffalo Farm. He was in the Navy and served during Vietnam. For most of his life, he was an EMT on the ambulance, but also worked for Red Lake Road Department and also as a logger and fisherman. Henry enjoyed hunting and the outdoors and going for a ride "having a shot and pulling tabs."

Henry is survived by Rachele Donnell, sons Henry Donnell Jr and Rick (Clarissa) Juarez; daughter Theresa Donnell; grandchildren Andre Juarez, Darwin Donnell, Meghan Thompson, Nika Juarez, Quinten Thompson, Maria Donnell, Drea Donnell; and special granddaughter Samantha Hill; brothers Herman Donnell and Orlie Donnell. 

Henry is preceded in death by his father Louis; mother Jane; brothers Willard, Charlie, Leon, Russell, Lyle and Harold Donnell; sisters Sharon Barrett, Peggy Donnell and Bernadine Thunder.

A wake will begin at 1 PM on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at the Redby Center and continue until the service at 1 PM on Monday, July 15, 2024 with Fr. John Christianson. Active Pallbearers will be Darwin Donnell, Quinten Thompson, Shannon Fontonelle, Jeff Donnell, Matt Graves, Bobby Donnell, Jr. Graves, Anthony King, Corey Donnell and Dolan Donnell. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jim Loud, Darrell Kloeppner, Rick Gordon, Jr. Kassa and Harlow Spears. Burial will be at St Mary's Cemetery with full military honors.
