Hunter Jay Parker

Hunter Jay “H-Town” Parker , age 47, of Red Lake, MN, journeyed into the Spirit World on September 4, 2021.

Hunter was born on November 12, 1973 in Minneapolis, MN to Judith Barrett and Frank Parker. Hunter grew up in Minneapolis in his younger years and moved to Red Lake, MN in 2012. He received his GED and achieved his Welding Certificate in 2018.  Hunter liked going to casinos and play Bingo. He was always busy working on odds and ends at his home and for others.  He also enjoyed tinkering on his car.  He had a passion for cats and spoiled his three cats: Big Kitty, Ben and Penny.  He loved his dog, Thunder, as well. 

Those he leaves behind are his mother, Judy Barrett, daughter, Gene Marie, 2 sons: Hunter Irvin and Misun Jay; special friend, Lee Ann M. Cobenais; three special grandchildren: Khloee Kingbird-Cobenais, Kazmyn Kingbird and Kobee Cobenais; sisters:  Jocelyn Humphrey and Claudine Mason, brothers: Willy Humphrey and Charles Barrett, Sr.; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Family that Hunter joins in the Spirit World are his father, Frank Parker; brothers: Frankie, Gene, Spank Parker and some Fairbanks family.

The wake will begin at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, September 10, 2021 at the New Red Lake Center in Red Lake and continue until the service at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 11, 2021.  Casketbearers will be: Reuben Crowfeather, Charles Barrett, Sr., Steve Rainey, Gary Poler, Bob Smith, Joseph Fairbanks, Carl Fairbanks, Sr., Carl Fairbanks, Jr., Hunter I. Parker, Misun Parker, Bentley Kappenman and Marcus Rainey.  Honorary casketbearers will be:  Reise Prentice, Rob Fairbanks, Melena Mason, Jocelyn Humphrey, Steven Cobenais, Lewis Thunder, Rashawn Barrett, Jaycee Barrett, Ciara Barrett, Dacia Berry, and Josette Rainey-Jones.  Arrangements provided by Whispering Pines Funeral & Cremation Service, Walker, MN (www.whisperingpinesnorth.com).
