James Bryan Bliss, age 74, passed away at his home in Remer, MN, on Monday, August 12, 2024.
James was born on April 7, 1950 to Fred and Marilyn (Bates) Bliss in Minneapolis, MN. He grew up in Minneapolis and attended Robbinsdale High School before going to the University of Mankato and University of Eau Claire for his MBA. He owned Catalyst Group and lived in Plymouth and Appleton, Wisconsin, before moving up to Longville. He liked flying, scuba diving, hunting, traveling and taking photos. He loved his dogs, his plane, his cabin and being outdoors, and especially his family. He had a strong dedication to hard work. After a long battle with illness, Jim was called home to be in peace by a loving God. Jim will be forever loved and missed and remembered for his unconditional love of his daughter and dedication to his family.
James is survived by his brother Brian Bliss; sister Cindy Merrell; daughter Elaine Bliss (Kurtis Manley); and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father Fred Bliss and mother Marilyn Bliss.
There will be a graveside service held on Monday, August 19, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Sunset Cemetery , 2250 St Anthony Blvd NE, Minneapolis, MN.
