James Arthur Redmond

James Arthur Redmond, age 56, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025 in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.

James was born on October 26, 1968 to Arthur Redmond and Carol (Kruse, Redmond) McInnes in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He graduated from Central High School in St Paul. James loved fishing and collecting old coins. He could not drive by a yard sale without stopping.  He liked to gamble and would buy a ticket for anything. James liked talking to people and he had a demeanor that was pleasing to others and encouraged those encounters.

James is survived by his mother and step-father: Carol S. and Dave McInnes; brother: Michael (Carol) Redmond; and sister: Rebecca Redmond Girard. He is preceded in death by his father: Arthur P. Redmond; brother: Brian Redmond; and sister: Terri Redmond.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 11 AM at St Paul’s Catholic Church at 101 3rd Avenue SE in Remer, MN with Father Jerry Weiss. Visitation will be from 10 – 11 AM prior to the service. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Remer, MN.
