John Calvin Beaulieu, age 70, began his journey to the spirit world on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 in Duluth, MN.
John was born on April 30, 1955 to Calvin J Beaulieu Sr and Alice Blue Beaulieu in Red Lake, MN. He grew up in Red Lake and lived in Duluth and Cook. John graduated from Flandreau Indian School and went to college at Duluth. He was a teacher at Orr Elementary School for two years, from which he resigned due to health reasons. John enjoyed playing the guitar, scrolling through Facebook and watching videos. He played in a band, J.B. Revue Band.
John is survived by his sons: John Beaulieu Jr and Brad Beaulieu; brother: Calvin J. Beaulieu Jr; sisters: Isabell Irrvin Beaulieu, Rose Beaulieu, Alice June Beaulieu, Evelyn Beaulieu and Ethal Beaulieu; and uncle: Gus Strong.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Calvin J Beaulieu Sr and Alice Blue Beaulieu; siblings: Arlene Linda Beaulieu, Gloria Beaulieu, Marilyn Beaulieu, Claudia Beaulieu, Joyce Beaulieu and Darrell Lussier; his wife of 34 years: Kim King Beaulieu; and special nieces: Arlene “R” Linda Beaulieu and Georgianna Lee Beaulieu.
A wake will begin at 1 PM on Monday, July 14, 2025 at the New Red Lake Center and will continue until the service at 11 AM on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 with Father Bill Butcher officiating. Active Pallbearers will be Lakota Beaulieu, Hunter Beaulieu, Daniel Fairbanks, Dominick Johnson, Isaiah Ybarra and Sylas Fineday Sr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jerry Beaulieu, George Stately, Darwin Stately, Floyd “Buck” Jourdain, Petra Ybarra-Johnson (Dominick Johnson), Autumn Beaulieu (Sylas Fineday Sr), Liberty Beaulieu, Donna Fairbanks, Darla Fairbanks, David H Rosebear Sr, Fudd Wilson, Donnie Headbird, Dane Clark and Bush Roberts. Burial will be at the Red Lake Episcopal Cemetery in Red Lake, MN. Arrangements provided by Whispering Pines Funeral & Cremation Service of Northern Minnesota.
