John Robert Dupre

John Robert Dupre, age 54, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025 at his residence in Hackensack, MN.

John was born on April 7, 1971, at Chanute Air Force Base in Rantoul, Illinois, to Craig and Yvonne “Bonnie” (Allie) Dupre.  John grew up in the Hackensack area after his Dad’s time in the service in the early 1970s. In 1998, he met his wife, Jessica, and they were married in 2009. They had two children, Dylan and Zoey, and stayed in the Hackensack area, where they both had spent most of their childhoods. John started cooking at the Hackensack Legion in 2016 and lots of people will miss his cooking! John enjoyed cooking, landscaping, music, camping and family outings. He especially enjoyed the time he was able to spend with family.

John is survived by his wife: Jessica Dupre; children: Dylan and Zoey Dupre; mother: Yvonne “Bonnie” Dupre; brother: Brandon (Beth) Dupre; niece: Rhiannen Dupre, nephew: Elijah Dupre; and many family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Dad: Craig Allen Dupre; and his grandparents.

A Graveside Service will be held at the Hillcrest Cemetery at 10:30 AM on Saturday, April 26, 2025. This will be followed by a Celebration of Life from 11 AM to 2 PM at the Hackensack Legion. All are welcome for lunch and a time of gathering to remember John.
