John King

John "JK" King, age 68, passed away on July 22, 2025, in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Born on October 11, 1956, in Wapato, Washington, John lived a full and vibrant life that touched many across generations.

John was the beloved son of Margaret and Joseph King, who preceded him in death. He was also predeceased by his siblings Daniel Silas Peters King, Ella King, Nina King, Corrine King San Juan, Gordon King, Elva King, and Larry King; his daughter Leah Malinda Redearth; grandson Ronald R. Cloud Jr; and niece Cornella Roybal and many other loved ones.

He is lovingly remembered by his children: Daisha (Mike Rivera) King, Jeremy (Katy) King, and Raelyn King. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Darwin Cloud, Maya Cloud, Marissa Cloud, Michaela Rivera, Daniel King Rivera, Jonas King, Jachai King, Kemira King, Marianna King, Maribell King, and Ricardo Puga King. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren Jeremiah King, Isaiah King, Elliyanna King, Daya Cloud and Daywiin Cloud.

John is survived by his siblings Mary Vargas; Ernest (Denise) King; and Helen King Caceres. His family circle was large and deeply connected—each member carrying forward a part of his spirit.

Known all over the land as the one and only "JK",  John had a thrill for life that was unmistakable. He lived life to the fullest—"Ow ow ow!" as he would say—and found joy in the simple pleasures of being surrounded by loved ones. Whether he was casting a line into the water or sharing laughter with family over stories and joking around, JK embraced every moment with every person he crossed paths with.

He had an adventurous soul and a magnetic personality that drew people to him. His humor lit up rooms and his presence brought comfort to those around him. Time spent with JK often meant laughter echoing through the air and memories made that would last a lifetime.

Though he has departed this world physically, JK's spirit remains alive in the hearts of all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those who mourn him and inspiration to those who carry forward his legacy of love for family and passion for life. 

The wake will begin on the evening of July 24, 2025 at the Redby Community Center, 19050 State Hwy 1, and continue until the service at 1PM on Friday, July 25, 2025 followed by a feast. Active pallbearers will be: Darwin Cloud Ricardo Puga King, Jonas King, Jachai King, Daniel King Rivera, Jamie King, Willy May, Larry Lussier, Colin Roybal, Ben Roybal Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be: Jeremy King, Mike Rivera, Simon Alpiak Jr, Ernie King, Ben Roybal, Laurene May, Star May, Simon Alpiak, Fred Charwood.
