John grew up in North Branch, MN, and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1990. After he graduated from Vermillion College in 1994, he moved to Remer for the start of the most wonderful and fulfilling career in Law Enforcement. John started in Law Enforcement as the Remer Chief of Police. He then began his career with the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, where he worked as a Deputy Sheriff before being promoted to an Investigator. John was a beloved member of the Sheriff’s Office family and will be missed by all who were lucky enough to work with him. John enjoyed hunting, fishing, ice fishing, traveling, snowmobiling, camping, ATV/side by siding. The most important thing to John was Law Enforcement, family and friends. He loved helping others and seeing people succeed!
