Jonathan “Jon” James Hardy, age 29, of the Bullhead Clan, of St. Hilare, MN, travelled to the spirit world on Wednesday, September 28, 2022.

Jon was born on March 21, 1993, in Bemidji, MN to Brenda and William Hardy, Sr. He was raised in Ponemah all his life. He attended Ponemah Elementary and went on to attend Red Lake High School, graduating in 2011. He enjoyed playing his games, listening to and watching thunderstorms, talking and joking with his friends and spending time with his nieces and nephews, who he was helping raise. He worked several jobs throughout his life.

He will be missed dearly by his parents, Brenda and William Hardy, Sr.; sisters: Kristen Johnson and Jaymee Johnson of St. Hilare; brothers: Aaron (Briana) Johnson of Moorhead, MN and William Hardy Jr. of Ponemah; special sisters: Branigan and Colette Patterson; cousin who was like a brother, Antonio “AJ” (Leah) Johnson; 14 nieces and nephews; special aunts: Robyn Johnson and Marilyn Johnson; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

Jonathan was preceded in death by his grandparents: James and Delores Johnson and Clarence and Theresa Hardy, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

The wake will begin at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at the Ponemah Boys & Girls Club in Ponemah, and continue until the service at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, October 3, 2022, with Allen Hardy as spiritual leader. Active casektbearers will be: John Bobolink, Michael Yzaguirre, Scott Perkins, Sr., William Hardy, Jr., Kevin Buckanaga, Doug Buckanaga, Jr. and alternates: Aaron Johnson, Antonio “AJ” Johnson, and Scott Perkins, Jr. Honorary casketbearers will be: All his sisters and brothers; special sisters: Branigan and Colette Patterson, Kalina Needham, Elsie Jourdain, Kelci Perkins, Tyler Johnson, Shirley and Gary Spears, Sr. Edward Dow, the Altru Nursing Staff and all his friends.
