Joseph Jourdain Obituary

Joseph Kenneth "Joe K" Jourdain, age 68, of St. Paul, MN, passed away at his home on Tuesday, September 20, 2022.

Joseph was born on April 2, 1954, in Red Lake, MN, to Eliza and Baptiste Jourdain. He graduated from Mountain Iron High School and spent many years on the Iron Range before moving to Minneapolis, MN, where he met his wife, Juanita Rae. Joseph enjoyed playing card games on his computer and liked going to the casino every now and then to try his luck. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

He will be lovingly remembered by his sisters: Mary Gibbs and Patricia Morgan; brother, Richard Jourdain; grandchildren: Amber Elaine May, Dan “Charlie” May and Mija-Jean Jourdain; seven great grandchildren; as well as many other cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Juanita Rae; daughter, Allison May; brother, Francis Jourdain; sisters: Lucille Auginash, Pauline Jones, Elsie Jackson; nephew, Jared Jourdain as well as numerous other relatives.

The wake will begin at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, September 23, 2022, at the Redby Center and continue until the service at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 24, 2022 with Pastor Tom Pollock officiating. Active casketbearers will be: Ron Schoenborn, Gerald Norquay, Terry Jourdain, Dan “Charlie” May, Gary Auginash, Patrick Norquay, and alternate, Gordon Jones.  Honorary casketbearers will be: Chuck Barrett, Richard Jourdain, Kay Norquay, Amber May, Ruth May, Vicki Juarez, Ann Auginash, and Mija-Jean Jourdain. Burial will be at the Redby Community Cemetery in Redby. Arrangements by Whispering Pines Funeral & Cremation Service of Walker and Hackensack (www.whisperingpinesnorth.com).
