Kaela Mareigh Neadeau, age 34, formerly of Red Lake, left us on November 9, 2022, at her home in Minneapolis.

Kaela was born on June 18, 1989, to Darla Neadeau and Kenneth Mills. She was raised by her adoptive parents, Edwina Neadeau and Charles “Chubby” Johns. Edwina and Chubby took her in when she was 18 months old and was adopted by them at the age of four. Kaela lived most of her life in Red Lake with her mom, Edwina. She graduated from Red Lake High School in 2007. After high school she started her first job as a lifeguard at the Thief River Falls Casino. She held various positions at the casino over the years and then began working at the Red Lake Casino as a hostess in the restaurant.  In 2018, after her mom passed away, she moved to Minneapolis. She worked from home as a telemarketer.

Being a mother was one of Kaela’s proudest moments in her life. She loved her boys more than anything, they were her everything, her world. Kaela loved kids. She helped raise all the kids in the family before becoming a mother herself. Tyrese Charles was her first baby. She was “Mama Kaya”.

Kaela was a vibe, it was one of a kind. She loved to make people feel happy, she was everyone’s “Hype girl”. She would leave little inspirational quotes all over for you to find. She loved astrology, conspiracies, music, poetry, and animals. She had an impact on many lives and she will be greatly missed by so many.
