Kathleen "Squeaky" Lynn Strong

Kathleen “Squeaky” Lynn Strong, age 65 of Redby, Minnesota, journeyed to the Spirit World on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, North Dakota, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 13, 1957 in Red Lake to Burton and Mary (Hart) Strong.

Although Kathleen never had children of her own, she made it a point to be a huge part of all the babies’ lives that she was blessed with in recent years. Squeaky enjoyed going to the casino, having coffee, watching Wheel of Fortune and Law & Order SVU, and going on adventures with her best friend, Birdie. She also enjoyed cooking and doing crossword puzzles. And, most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Kathleen is survived by her brother Herman Strong Sr; special children Lisa (Ron) Brun, Miranda Strong, Rochelle Strong, Greg Strong, Michelle Spears, Kalena Brun, Clarissa Strong and Jeremy Strong; grandsons Justice Strong, Draven Strong, Roger Greene Jr, Clayton Jourdain III, Burton, Bronxton Strong, Jeremy Strong Jr, Brian Brun Jr , Dallis Brun, and Chase Cobenais Jr; granddaughters Aliya Strong, Lilly Strong, Symphony Strong, Kingslin Strong, Tiffani Brun, Haylee Brun, Alexis Brun, Jazmine Greene, Tatyana Becerra, Leshawnda Brun, and Harmony Deegan; and best friend Alberta “Birdie” Senogles.

She was preceded in death by parents Burton & Mary Strong; brothers Gerald Strong, Marvin Strong, Jerome Strong and Lester Strong; sisters Cecelia Strong, Helen Jones and Margaret Needham, special friend Darlene “Peewee” Johnson and numerous other family members.

The wake will begin at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at the Redby Community Center and continue until the service at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 12, 2023 at the Redby Community Center with Fr. John Christianson.  Active Pallbearers will be Jeremy Strong, Darwin Strong, Donald Needham Jr, Darren Strong, Clayton Jourdain Jr, Patrick Strong, Jerome Strong, Michael Needham. Alternate Pallbearers will be Brian Brun Jr and Mynor Aguilar.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Alberta Senogles, Michelle Spears, Michelle Strong, Marilou Nelson, Mary Strong, Sherilyn Strong, Shauna Strong, Roxanne Strong, Harlan Strong, Joyce Strong, Tony Strong, Kelly Nelson, Vicki Needham, and Rochelle Strong. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Red Lake.
